Hello friends, the 1860 census shows this couple (born abt. 1824 and 1827 resp.) residing in Cincinnati with their children Annie (b. abt. 1855) and Charles (b. abt. 1857). Lewis is said te born in Germany, so his given name is Ludwig (or Louis, the french form which was sometimes used). Margret is said to be from Germany, too, so her given name would be Margaret(h)e or Margaret(h)a. Possibly there were more given names for Lewis and Margret. I would appreciate if I could find more details about this family, as exact bio dates and places, and who were the parents of the couple. Thanks in advance! Hello everybody, best wishes for 2010 first. On 4Sep1846 Theodor H. MÜLLER (MUELLER) married, somewhere in Hamilton Co., Rebecca Marie ORDEMANN. Rebecca was born 31Mar1821 in Bremen, Germany (she belongs to "my" Ordemann family tree); Theodor must have died before 2Mar1876 (derived from the will of Adele Adelheid Ordemann née Greve). The couple had at least 1 child: Annie born about 1850. I wonder if anybody knows more bio data of the couple, Theodor's parents, and the child/children. Kind regards Nikolaus (Ordemann), Düsseldorf (Duesseldorf), Germany -- The Ordemann/Ordeman Genealogy: http://privat.genealogy.net/ordemann

The only information that we have on her is: Born: 18Feb1880 in Ohio, USA Parents: George Honeyman & Matilda (both born in Indiana, USA) We have a family story that she and a son visited her father in Ohio in 1915 and tried to convince him to move to Britain with her. Her father declining the offer, she left with son in tow to Britain. The family does not know anything of what happened to her, who her husband was, nor the name of her son and his descendants (having been lost to time and the passing of anyone who might have known this information). If anyone has information about Bessie and family, or has information on how we can obtain further information, please let us know. Thank you for any assitance that you might provide. Welcome Nikolaus. I mainly lurk, wanted to welcome you to the list. My name is Nikolaus Ordemann; I'm living as a pensionist in Duesseldorf, Germany, and my research topic is the world-wide Ordemann/Ordeman family with it's various branches - no common ancestor is known for all, but all have their roots in Oldenburg county West of Bremen, Germany. What I know so far, is documented on my (German language) homepage, and on various Gedcom platforms: gedbas, geneanet, gencircles, and rootsweb. Some Ordemann people have been living in Ohio during the 19th century, mainly in Cincinnati, but also in other regions of Ohio (and, in many other U.S. states), and still this country has many namesakes of mine). I'm going to post detailed questions next year. Merry Christmas, a healthy and successful new year!
