Ohio after his divorce from wife Florence (Flora) ALBANO even though he states Florence as his wife on the draft card and that she is in Italy. Florence shows up as a widow on the 1920 census but this was false as grandchildren meet Enrico years later around 1944. Florence and the 5 children remain in Chicago. He did leave her with the kids. That's another mystery I cannot solve. I knew he left. He later came back, after her death in 1906, but his children would not have anything to do with him-except for my great-grandfather, George Herbert. George H. took him into his home, and George W. stayed with my grandfather and his family until his death in 1922. I do not know where he "physically" was between 1890 then. I have tried looking on the 1900, 1910 census. I believe he is listed with his son's family in the 1920 census.(Quachita Parish, LA.) I agree with you about her middle name, but I have no idea. Her children's death certificates list either Fulton or Josephine Fulton. I have copies of 3 of them. I am pretty sure George was born in Nashville, Tennessee. It is listed on the 1880 census records. His father's name was William Brown, Cherokee, born in Alabama. I cannot find his mother or her name. There is a William Brown on the Cherokee rolls,(Guion Miller) in 1851 in the Nashville area. He is listed as being 27. No other Brown is listed with him. William Brown is also on George W.'s death certificate, but not his mother. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Better late than never? I just joined the Ancestry thing and not real familiar with it yet. I have the "David Evans" connection to you (maybe) on my dad's side of the family. But my mom was also an Evans (her maiden name was Evans) and her family lived in the Portage/Palmyra Ohio area. Her father was illegitimate and I can't find any info yet on who her grandfather was or any info on his mom's family. Her great grandfather was Rev.David M.Evans and his wife Mary and their 6 kids who lived in Portage Ohio before moving down to Jackson Co. Ohio. But I can't find anything for sure past that. Evans was such a common name and they all seemed to use the same first names (Welsh tradition I think). Did you ever find anything on the Evans' you were looking for? 2. Gloria
    3. In the 1850 census, Andrew Perry is 53 years old, and born in OH. All of his children were born in IN, the oldest being 23. I have not been able to find Andrew in any census before 1850, and he apparently died before 1855 since his second wife remarries about that time in New Boston, IL. Family history has Andrew born in the Dayton, OH area. There are Perry families in Greene Co., OH in the early 1800's; however, I have no information about Andrew's early life. The mother of Andrew's 3 oldest children may have been Laura Marlatt. The family may have been living near Indianapolis, IN where an Andrew Perry bought land from the government. The next entry I have found for Andrew is a marriage to his second wife, Nancy Wolfe, in Wayne Co., IN in 1837. There is a Perry family in the "Darke County, OH - Common Pleas Court Records of 1842, which states "Agustus Fenner and wife vs. Andrew Dye Perry, etal. Partition". William Perry died intestate about Jan. 1842, his widow is Elizabeth. The children are as follows: Sarah, wife of Augustus Fenner, Miami Co., OH Nathan, Darke Co., OH Samuel - Deceased, his daughter, Eliza Ann Jane, wife of James Cemick Pearson, Miami Co., IN James and Silas Perry of Wayne Co., IN, Lucinda, wife of John Dowell, Miami Co., OH Joseph C. Perry, Darke Co., OH Margaret, wife of John Knox, Selby Co., OH William Perry and Thomas Perry, Miami Co., OH Andrew Dye Perry, age 20, Miami Co., OH Marshal Perry, age 16, Miami Co., OH Horatio L. Perry, age 13, Miami Co., OH Anyone have any idea about this Perry family in Ohio, and if they might be related to my Andrew? Andrew has been my brick wall for many years. Thanks for your help.
