My relative died in Ohio in 1936. When I go to the Ohio state website of death listings, it clearly shows his DOD that corresponds to our family information. I am new to this, but I see there that certain date ranges are available for $7.00 each, but perhaps others are not? His correct death date is shown, with the full certificate number. However, from what I read, I do not think that his death certificate for that year would be on microfilm? Or did I misunderstand? So how much would it cost to get a copy, since the certificate number is already available? Obviously this is new procedure and forgive me for my ignorance, but do I have to send them a $25. "search fee", or .....? (Couldn't do that, anyway, as on severely limited budget) Thank you for any reply, and for your kind patience with my many questions.
I am looking for the death date and time for Alice V [Carter] Pratt. She was born in Clarke County VA in 1858. She grew up in Loudoun County VA in the home of her grandmother Elizabeth Conard. She married and moved to Ohio sometime after 1885. Is there any information out there on this woman? She is my grandfathers older sister. Best, John

I think you found her! I found a list of Polish christenings of some churches in Poland that had her listed with a maiden name of Stokwisz. Her first husband Roch Wandoch and one of her daughters are buried in Calvary. That's great! Thank you so much for your great detective work! I was planning a trip to Toledo to visit Roch, and now I can also visit Petronela. Thank you! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Chris, I know of almost a dozen places in OH with a town/place named Five Points. Do you know what county are you looking in? I can check Warren County for you. Her husband died in 1916. I think she re-married and had the last name of Kalkowski? (the first letter could be an "f" or "j" or "t" -can't read it). "Casweil" Kalkowski is in the 1930 census with Irene Vandock. When you look at the document, you can tell the "Casweil" is actually Petronela - a transcription error. I can't find any information about her after the 1930 census (if that is her). They lived in Toledo Ohio. What would be the best way to go about finding more information, not having any idea of her date of death or even what her last name ended up being. I have searched on just "Petronela" in the Ohio Death Index and the SS death index. Thanks for your ideas. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
