Simon would have been her maiden name. Census records tell us that her birthday was July 1897 and that she lived in New Kensington, PA until at least 1910. Sometime between 1910 and 1920, she left New Kensington. We think that she went to Girard, Ohio but aren't sure. Her father's name is Nicholas Joseph Eugene (b: 1860 in Belgium) and her mother's name is Mary Ebersold/Ebersald (b: 1872 in France). Her maternal grandmother's name is Cecilia Ebersold, (1834 - 1923) who was born in France. Her siblings' names were: George Alexander Simon (b: 1893), Charles Henry Simon (b: 1895), Leon Simon (b: 1899, d: 1977), Adelle Simon (b: 1903), and Richard Simon (b: 1903).
