Does anyone have a Buch or a Lach family connection. Both were born about 1860 in Germany, and came to the U.S. thru Detroit as oral history has it via Canada. Some of the family settled in Cleveland while others stayed in the Detroit area. There may be a Butschke or a Dembeck or a Geisler sounding name in there also. Ok thanks, that's the problem our research shows different parents than Christian. So as long as the record didn't come directly from hancock County then it is someone's personal research not proven source. On 12 Jun 1915, Eunice married Carl E. ERICKSON and in 1920 they had a son Edward then 25 months old. If the census enumerator followed the suggested method to determine a child's birth month then Edward was born in December 1917. Edward O. Erickson, b 16 Dec 1917, d 17 Aug 1985 and he was the Mayor of Akron 1962-65. His obit and an editorial re his life and political career were published in the "Akron Beacon Journal". The obit was published Aug. 18th on page F1 and the editorial was in the Aug. 20th issue on page A6. Abstracts of both are online but neither mention his survivors.
