    1. [OHIO] Moses Bonnel to Levi Bonnel
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: tobyville Surnames: Bonnel/Buckingham Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.ohio.unknown/13458/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am in need of some help in connecting Moses Bonnel as the father of Levi Bonnel. Moses Bonnel married Hannah Buckingham March 22 1798 in Pennsylvania, probably in New Castle County. They had nine children, one of which was a Levi Bonnel born about 1799. I have found census records for the Levi Bonnel I know positively is my ancestor showing he was born in Pennsylvania. Moses and Hannah moved to Ohio at some point. Levi lived in Pike Co. Illinois according to the 1850 census and by the 1870 census was living in Bethel, Shelby Co., Missouri. Levi married Elisabeth Hill and had nine children. He is my 4th great grandfather and his son Henry H. Bonnel my 3rd great grandfather. Henry H. Bonnel married Mary W Matkin and their daughter Effie Bonnel is my great great grandmother. She married Sylvester Starmer and their son Clarence Starmer married Ella Butler. Their daughter Alice Mae Starmer Allensworth is my grandmother. From Levi to my grandmother Alice, the family lived in Shelby Co., Missouri. So as you can see I definitely know my ancestors up to Levi Bonnel, but have no proof that Moses Bonnel is his father. The only information I have found connecting Moses to my Levi was from other trees on Ancestry.com and none of those trees had any kind of source material proving the connection as father and son. I have a wealth of information I have found on Hannah Buckingham's line, but would like to be able to prove my line is definitely tied to the Buckinghams through her marriage to Moses Bonnel. I have no earlier info on the Bonnel line except for Moses and would love to know his parents names as well if he is indeed father to my line through Levi. I hope someone can help me. I am trying to figure out which one is my daughter's ancestor. I explain: Find-A-Grave Memorial site has a Clifford McFrederick b.1902 d. 1981; he is burried in Savannah Cemetery, Ashland County, Ohio. The tombstone shows his wife as being Myrtle b. 1911 d. 1971 - No other information is provided. Social Security Death Index - Ancestry.com has a Clifford McFrederick b. 30 Aug 1902 d. Sep 1981 in Niles, Berrien, Michigan All Florida Marriage Collection, 1822-1875 and 1927-2001 - Ancestry.com has Clifford Thurman McFrederick married to Myrtle Girtrue Kay in June of 1964 in Palm Beach, FL The ancestor I am looking for is Clifford Thurman McFrederick, son of Euphronius Beverly McFrederick and Mary E. McFarland. All three born in Ohio, most likely in Belmont County. I would very much like to know what Clifford's birth date and place is, as well as the date and place of death and whether or not he was married to a Myrtle? I don't know what step to take next. Does someone have the McFredericks in their genealogy tree? Thank you for your help. Sincerely, Lucie Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
