From the 1900 census in Chicago, I find John Daly born June, 1856 Ireland, immigrated 1883, married Mary 1887. Mary, born July, 1862 Ohio, 4 children, two living, her parents born in Ireland. Sons Thomas born March, 1890, Illinois and John born October 1894, Illinois. The 1910 census shows this same family with nephews Mike and Thomas Foly,(recent immigrants living with the family),also in Chicago. Ages for Thomas Daly and Mary are a bit different, but probably the same family. The death certificate for John Daly shows birth 6/29/1858, Ireland, death 12/31/1927, Chicago, burial Mt Olivet cemetery. Have you checked with the cemetery to see if there are any records for Mary? There are four, maybe five possible matches for John Daly/Mary marriages in Ohio records between 1886 and 1888. Possible maiden names from Ohio marriages are Ryan, Klopp, Barrett and Shallen. All but Shallen were married in Hamilton county Ohio. The Shallen marriage was in Licking county. If you have not already ruled out these maiden names, you might possibly have some luck posting a query on these counties' boards.
