I also stem from Elijah Yost Braddock. He had a son named George who had a son named Jess. That is my line. Since our shared ancester comes from as recent as Elijah Yost Braddock I assume that you too live in Nothern Indiana if your family has stayed put that is??? There are Kerr's around here. There is a grave yard near me that has the tombstones of John Gray Braddock and his wife Catherine wells. Their stones say Catherine is the daughter of Josiah and Elizabeth Yost Wells. And John is the son of John & Peggy Gray Braddock. I have no yet figured out if the Sr John Braddock is the same one that was a captain on the Iren Men ship. I'm actually a little confused to who she is and I"m hoping someone can help. My grandfather was Robert L Houser. DOB 17 July 1929, Portsmouth, Ohio. On Roberts birth certificate, his father is listed as Sylvester Houser, DOB 1901 in Wayne, WV. Sylvester's DOD was 1937 in Peebles, Ohio (son of Joseph and Elizabeth Houser). Roberts mother's full maiden name is listed on his birth certificate as Maud Christoff, born in Forestville, Ohio abt 1905-06. However, on every other legal document I've found, her full maiden name is listed as Maud Shaw. So I'm unsure if she is Maud Christoff or Maud Shaw. Perhaps she was previously married? I just don't know. Sylvester and Maud had at least 4 sons: Russell 1925-2004, Forrest 1924-1952, George 1997-1926 and Robert 1929-2007. Hi all I wonder if anyone can help with locating a Robert OVINGTON and wife Mary (nee BOYLE) they married in 1855 but have not found them before or after Robert OVINGTON married Mary Ann BOYLE on the 10th June 1855 Columbiana Co Ohio Still trying to piece my OVINGTON connections together I have a Bryan OVINGTON b1811 who married an Ann MEAD b1820ish on 16th Oct 1840 Columbiana Co Ohio They appear in Goshen Township in 1850 with children Mary, Ellen & John (Bryan is a Farmer, both he and Ann are born in England) Bryan & Ann appear in the census 1850 to 1880 Ann dies in 1890, Bryan in 1896 both buried Bunker hill cemetery Daughter Mary married John ZIMMERMAN in 1867 Daughter Ellen married Jesse COOK in 1866 Don't know what happened to John b1840 Goshen Township There is another John Robert OVINGTON son of William OVINGTON and Mary nee MEAD and he is war veteran but not found the other John O so far The reason I am interested in Robert OVINGTON is that I had a Robert last seen in 1854 as informant at his grandfathers death in Yorkshire England but not seen thereafter Any help or advice appreciated Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
