Does anyone on this List have Jacob D. Cavanaugh in their database. He is listed on the 1910 Delaware Co, Indiana census with wife, Jennie age 52, married 19 years; Jennie married 2 times and Jacob one time. Living with them is Frank Kennedy age 55 -- brother-in-law. All born in Ohio. No children born to either Jacob or Jennie. Jacob's occupation is "Proprietor of a meat packing house", and Frank apparently works there. I would guess that Jennie would be a Kennedy, but would be interested in knowing who she married prior to Jacob Cavanaugh. On the 1920 census of Delaware Co, IN Jacob Cavanaugh is listed as age 57, Jennie 60, George Kennedy 80, and Frank Kennedy 64; all born in Ohio. Both men listed as brothers-in-law to Jacob. On to St Joseph County, Indiana in 1833, Iowa in 1840, across Iowa and by 1867, some had gone on to Jewell County, Kansas. I think this McMullen family came to the Montgomery County, Ohio area with the Wysong family from Virginia, probably before 1815. Family connected to this Wysong family also lived in PA. They seem to leave McMullen children behind as they move. Do you have any more info on your McMullen family? I am trying to connect my John McMullen (b. 1804 in VA) to the Samuel McMullen above, who had a sons William, David (b. Montgomery County, Ohio 1819) and possible Otho. They move together. Hi Leslie - I would start in the Morrow Co., area, and then expand your search to the surrounding counties. Look for baptism records, Family Bibles, Wills, Deeds, etc.. Good luck!
