Hi Everyone, Just a friendly reminder that it is against RootsWeb policy (Community Guidelines) to advertise anything for sale on a RootsWeb mailing list. The purpose of the mailing list is to help others with their genealogical inquiries regarding their Ohio ancestors, not to try and sell items. Kind Regards, Peggy OHIO List Admin

Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) Jul 28, 1899 Page 3 Died. McCoy--At Ordway, Colo., July 20, 1899, of inflammation of the bladder, George W. McCoy, aged 64 years, 7 months, and 17 days. The remains were brought to Longmont, arriving Saturday evening, and were met at the depot by members of Longmont Lodge No. 29, I. O. O. F., and escorted to the cemetery. Rev. E.F. Harris assisted in the ceremony which was mainly the ritual of the order. Mr. McCoy was well known in the vicinity of Longmont and much respected for his integrity of character. He has been a farmer all his life, but has taken an interest in Longmont and its affairs, having been a director in the Building and Loan Association for years. George W. McCoy was born in Ohio, Dec 3, 1835, was married in Decator, Ill., to Rebecca May, in March 1854, nine children having been born to them. In March, 1873 he came to Colorado, settling in Arvada, his family joining him at May of the same year. They came to Longmont in November of 1874, where the family lived until January 1897, when they removed to Ordway. He leaves a wife, five daughters and one son.
