    3. The old Firelands Pioneer books under discussion are the journals of the Firelands Historical Society. The original series were published in the 19th century. A second series was published between about 1900-1950. The third series began in the early 1960's. These dates are not very close, but they are still publishing the Third Series on an irregular basis.
