The Lorain County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will be offering a Beginning Genealogy Series for the novice family tree researcher as well as the more experienced researcher looking for extra family tree hints. In conjunction with the Lorain County Metro Parks, the Beginning Genealogy Series will be offered at French Creek Nature Center, 4530 Colorado Avenue, Sheffield, Ohio on Thursdays, May 6, 13, 20, 27, and June 3 beginning at 6:30pm. Topics will include using known family sources, using pedigree charts, family group sheets, relationship charts, probate records, cemetery research, vital records, library research, online resources for computer genealogy, and using census records. There is no charge for these classes, however, registration for each class is required.
