I have this couple in the 1860, 1870 censuses in Richland Co. Ohio. Maria's parents lived with them John and Isabella Ro(d)gers. Joseph M. Brown was a member of the Masonic Lodge #46 in Cleveland, Ohio, as a rule someone must invite him into the group for membership. Seems likely that they would be Presbyterians then or formerly were. He worked on the New York Central railroad in Cleveland, OH. His brother, John R. Brown of 521 Medbury St. Detroit, MI a residence of apartments, November 1921 - Feb. 1922.
