    3. For all Clarksfield researchers: I am still working on an 1863 letter i found in bible of eliza Jane Gray, dau of Samuel Gray-Mary Scott. They were in emporia, Ks, at that time and letter was written by Isaac b. Scott-Almira smith. Samuel was son of Abraham Gray-anna Starr. the letter is filled with info on the clarksfield boys and families. I need a very good copy machine to pick up all the words. any suggestions? I will send a copy to the Hist society. -----Original Message----- From: OHHURON-D-request@rootsweb.com <OHHURON-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: OHHURON-D@rootsweb.com <OHHURON-D@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, September 07, 2000 9:03 PM Subject: OHHURON-D Digest V00 #208

    3. The best copy machine that we have found is a scanner. Either with a PC scanner or a commercial scanner (locally it cost about $5 to have it done). The benefit is that you can put it in a viewing program and enlarge it 5 or 10 times. A side benefit is that you can lighten or darken it to make it read better. Also, if you really want to work hard at it, you can enlarge it far enough so that each dot shows. Then you can darken only the dot. Makes hard reading, easy. Would love to know where the Gray family came from. We have a Gray from Herkimer Co., NY that we think spent time in KS Errol and Valerie Cross Home Page http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~ecross/Index.htm -----Original Message----- From: Alta Wallace [mailto:altagram@intellisys.net] Sent: Thursday, September 07, 2000 9:00 PM To: OHHURON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [OHHURON-L] Re: OHHURON-D Digest V00 #208 For all Clarksfield researchers: I am still working on an 1863 letter i found in bible of eliza Jane Gray, dau of Samuel Gray-Mary Scott.
