Thought some of you might be interested: The Fairfield County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society proudly announces that we are hosting a seminar on Saturday, September 30, 2000 featuring Curt Witcher, manager of the Genealogy Department of the Allen County Public Library in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Topics include Historical Research Methodology, Effective Use of Libraries and The Road Less Traveled: Super Sites for Family Historians. Other speakers include Karen S. Smith and Amy Johnson Crow, CG. Their topics include Organization, State Government Records and Vital Records Substitutes. Cost is $15.00, which includes a hot buffet lunch. This is a wonderful opportunity for researchers to use genealogical resources in the library including the Historical Room, Fairfield County newspaper microfilm, IGI, etc. The library will be closed to all others and everyone brings a snack to share.
