To Tom Tremble I saw your e-mail message regarding the Ohio 25th Volanteer Infantry Division, and a book written by Edward C. Culp. I am looking for information regarding my gr-gr-gr uncle, James Clark, who came from Ruggles Township in Huron County, and served in the Union Army. I don't know what regiment he served in. At the end of the war he traveled by foot from Kentucky to Michigan to visit his sister before returning home to Rugles Township. Was he a member of the Ohio 25th? If not, what division might he have been in? Thanks for your help. Jim Clark
Jim, I checked "A Military History of Huron County, Ohio (Civil War) by the Huron County Chapter OGS (1989), but could not locate James Clark. Perhaps he inlisted in another county.
