Hi Norma, My ggg grandparents lived in Ashland County when gg grandfather was born. They were Israel and Louisiana (Lucy Ann) (HELTMAN) STALEY, marr 3 Jun 1847 Ashland Co by J.D. Benedict, M.G. Children born were: Joseph (my gg grandfather) b. 6 Dec 1849; Almyra b. @1851/52; Mary Ann b. @ 1855/56; Jeremiah H. b. April 1859. Joseph married Mary RICKARD 17 Sep 1874 Ashland Co. and shortly thereafter they moved to Southwest Wisconsin (Green, Lafayette and Grant counties) Almyra married A.M. WILLIAMS Mary Ann married Dallas DEAN and later William N. CORNWELL Jeremiah became Dr. Jeremiah H. STEALY and married Emma SULLIVAN and then Zara ANDERSON. I'm hoping to find Israel's family, as he just disappeared after Lucy died in 1868. The children were all living with maternal grandparents (Joseph) Andrew and Catherine (GOLDMAN) HELTMAN in the 1870 census, in Ashland, Ashland Co., OH. That's about all I have!
