Thank you Claudia, for your response. My query was a long shot. If you know Clarissa BAUER, it is almost a sure thing that she is NOT the one I am looking for. My Clarissa was born about 1805, and married Rufus LOVE in Huron in 1821. They were in Norwalk on the 1840 census, but disappeared after that. Most references to her family use the BOWERS spelling. I am looking for a lookup on M. BOWERS, because Clarissa's mother was named Marvel. So still need that lookup.
