He is buried in St. Joseph Cementery,Ridgefield Townshhip,Huron County,Ohio His gravestone gives his date of birth as 26 June1840. He was married to Elisabeth (?). He died on 31 Dec 1910 at age 71. According to his GAR marker ,he enlisted on 27 Aug 1862 and was discharged on 10 July 1865. He is listed on page number 795 of the Huron County Inscription Index. Norma has said she would get me a picture of his gravestone and wanted to know if I had this info. Also there is an Elizabeth Heether listed on the same page number. Thank you for your help, Leo Mills Hi Leo, Elizabeth and Nickalaus are buried together. I know "assume" is a dangerous word, BUT I feel certain they are husband and wife. ST. JOSEPH CEMETERY, RIDGEFIELD TOWNSHIP page 795 Section C - Row 14 10 HEETHER, Elizabeth b. 6 Nov 1842; d. 22 Jan 1907 Nickalaus b. 26 June 1840 - 31 Dec 1910 Enlisted 27 Aug 1862; Discharged 10 Jul 1865 [GAR marker] This should be enough info to find the gravesite. Cheers, Nancy If this information has assisted your research, would you consider sending a donation [sugg. $1. per name] to the Huron County Chapter of the OGS.
