    1. [OHHURON-L] COOK surname
    2. I have been searching for information about my ggrandfather James H. (Harrison) COOK for several years without any success. Just recently I learned that he went by his middle name part of his life. In the 1850 census I found a Harrison COOK that would be about the right age as my ggrandfather. The 1850 census lists: Aaron COOK age 63 born in NY; Rachel age 37 born in NY; Harrison age 9 born in OH; and Wm. age 7 born in OH. They resided in Townsend Twp. House # 825 Family # 843. Also found a marriage date for Aaron COOK and Rachel PETTIS (Could be PETTIE) for November 9, 1839 in Huron County, OH. Do any of your books have any information about any of the above COOK's? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dee Researching COOK, BRYANT and VINING in Huron Co., OH.

No Harrison, no Rachael, no Aaron. Several Williams, but they were either dead by 1850, or born much later. No William that would be close to 7 in the 1850 census.
