They appear in the 1860 census in Norwalk and family lore says Patrick Timmins died in 1867 and was buried in St. Marys Cemetery. In the census he is listed as a grocer. He had three children Amelia born 1860, Elizabeth born 1863 and Bernard John born 1864-65. His wife also died around this time. Is there any information in any of the materials you have and any suggestions you might give me to follow up? I would appreciate any help you might give me. Cynthia Dean >> Hi Cynthia, I'm afraid I couldn't find much on your TIMMINS family. I did find a reference to the marriage of a Patrick TIMMINS, but in this case the bride was a Bridget SMITH, not Agnes KEELEY, and the year was 1869. I found no reference to a Patrick TIMMINS in our Huron County, Ohio Cemetery Inscriptions book. Nor could I find a reference to this person in our cemetery inscription books for Seneca County, and Erie County (St. Mary's Cemetery). Details: 1. Huron County, Ohio Marriages, by Scheuer Publications, 1992. Patrick TIMMINS m. Bridget SMITH 17 May 1869. Bernard J. TIMMINS m. Annie MCMANUS 8 Jan 1890. 2. 1880 Census Index, huron County, Ohio. Patrick TIMMINS, Townsend Twp, 262A. I note that Kathleen J. SMITH posted three queries on her TIMMINS family on the Queries link of the Huron County, Ohio home page (www.rootsweb.com/~ohhuron). These postings were made on June 19, 1998, August 3, 1998, and November 15, 1999. In these postings she mentions a Patrick TIMMINS. Maybe it would be worth your while to contact her, if you haven't already. Regards, Ken Shute, in MD (kwsroots@aol.com).
