Would you have sent for the information if he had not agreed to help you pay for it? If it was important to you to have the information anyway, would you have shared it with others after you recieved it? I have paid for a lot of information over the years, and travel time collecting it but if someone approaches me for information with a line that connects with mine, I try to help if I can. The bigger picture is that we are trying to connect with our families. The way things are going with the state of Ohio trying to restrict our ability to obtain birth and death and other vital records, sharing may be the only way genealogy will continue. Hopefully you will be able to post your information, for accuracy, with your name attached so that others will be able to connect with you and increase your information on your family by attaching their line. It can be very surprising to find that you have hundreds of cousins out there, like I have. Best of luck and continued success in your search~ Connie
I agree with your philsophy, I am not a pro, those that are headhunters, I do try to avoid, but then they have access to most things I want too, so. They are like the pros that go to yardsales, wanting to make a profit however they can. Let the bone digger be ware. Dogone, darned either way wouldn't you say? My gold is to find more information on Samuel Post, Huron County Ohio, and dig that I Do. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2004 8:13 AM Subject: [OHHURON-L] Posting Information > Would you have sent for the information if he had not agreed to help you pay > for it?
