    3. Does any one know who the parent of Clarissa Carpenter b. abt. 1815 (1850 census gives name as Clarinda age 35 b. in Mass) might have been. Clarissa married John Hopkins(b. Sep 21, 1810) Nov 8, 1848 in Huron Co., OH. She was John's second wife and they had 3 children, but I do not know who her parents were. Both are buried at Edwards Grove Cemetery in Ripley Township. This post peaked my interest.
