I am looking for information on Minshall Brooks and his wife Sarah who farmed 160 acres in New London Township, Huron County. They appear in the 1850 census. They had 10 or more children. Alzina Brooks was 8 in 1850 and had a twin sister named Polly. Alzina is my great grandmother. She married Robert McElroy in 1859 and no record of marriage exists in Indiana so I think she maybe married near home. Other children were Samuel, elizabeth, Catharine, John Aaron & Rhoda. I would absolutely love finding out I have relatives still in Huron County. My grandfather Robert enlisted in the Ohio 12th Battery in 1862 in Huron County.
