CARPENTER had the following children - Huldah E. b1833, Roena A. b 1835, Nathan K. b 1838 ( who moved to Reading , Michigan ) ,Chester, H. b1841, Aro D. b.1845 (who stayed in Fairfield) , Horace M. b. 1847 (who moved to Cleveland) and Eunice and Elizabeth for which I have no dates. The 1850 Census for Fairfield also lists a Charles CARPENTER (75) Sarah (62) Orrin(23) Ruth(26) - all one house. There is also an Albert CARPENTER (22) living with the TURNERS, and a Huldah CARPENTER with the BERRYS. In 1860 Leonard CARPENTER and family are listed in Fairfield. Perhaps if you trace these on out you will find your William. I'll watch for him. Jessie Deith
