I am trying to prove the parentage of Hiram Odell, believed born in Norwalk, OH. between 1837-1841 to Samuel and Phoebe McCormick Odell. His gravestone, located in Sandusky Co, lists his birth as 1837. His pension records list his age in 1866 as 25 and born in Norwalk. that would make the date 1841. Are there any such records for this era? Does anyone have a suggestion how to find this? He is listed in later years in census records with Samuel and Phoebe, but he was an adult at that time, and it does not prove they were his parents. I know there is a Hiram Odell who resided in Huron Co. at this time, but he would have been a brother to Samuel. Would appreciate any help anyone could give. Thanks. Pat in Indiana
