Hi List: I am looking for information about the COOK's and PETTIS's in Townsend Township, Huron County, Ohio. I have the 1840 US census for that township with the following heads of households. Aaron COOK M F (I know that Aaron is the male age 50-60 and that his under 5 0 2 wife Rachel is the female age 30-40. My great grand- 5-10 1 9 father is not listed in this census because he was born 10-15 1 1 later that year. My questions are does anyone know who 15-20 0 1 the other children are? Are some of them Aaron's from 20-30 1 0 another marriage? Are some of them Rachel's from 30-40 0 1 another marriage? In 1850 they are only listed with two 50-60 1 0 two children: Harrison and William.) Hiram COOK M F (I know that Hiram's wife is Mary E. Vining and that they under 5 1 1 were married in 1838 in Huron County. Who are the 5-10 1 2 children?) 10-15 1 1 15-20 0 1 20-30 0 0 30-40 1 1 Oliver PETTIS M F (How are these next three PETTIS families related to under 5 0 0 Rachel wife of Aaron COOK? Is the older couple her 5-10 0 2 parents? Her fathers name is Kenyon PETTIS.
