The Lorain County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society is pleased to welcome fellow member Shirley Finkel Patterson of Ames, Iowa as the featured speaker on Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Oberlin Public Library, 65 S. Main St., Oberlin, Ohio. The program topic will be "Dating and Interpreting Old Photographs." A native of Huntington, Ohio, Wellington High School and Ohio State graduate, Shirley now teaches classes in preserving 19th century photos, papers, and textiles to small museums, curators, collectors, and genealogical societies. Members are invited to bring their "mystery" photos for review. The program is also open to the public. Social time is 6:30PM, followed by a short meeting and the featured program at 7:00 PM.
