On the Huron County web site http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohhuron you will find a link to "Archives". When you get to that page you will find first, a link to the 1850 census records and the second link says 1845 Plat Map index. Click on the Plat Map link and you will be at that page. Read what Ken has taken the time to write. This explains what you will be seeing in the index itself. At the bottom of his explanation, you will find links to the index alphabetically for surnames. The third link is to a general Archive page that is being run by someone else. There is good stuff there, so don't miss that one either.
