Perhaps this has been mentioned before, but there are two maps of interest to Huron County researchers on-line, through the American Memory Project. The page is called "Map Collections: 1544-1999" prepared by the Geography and Map Division, Library of Congress. http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/gmdhtml/gmdhome.html Go to the Cities & Towns section, then to Panoramic City Maps, then to Ohio. You will find: 1870 Bird's Eye View of Norwalk, by Merchants Lithographic Company 1888 Panoramic Map of Bellevue, by Burleigh Lithography Est. After the first click on the map, you can then set it to zoom in on any area. The railroad and Civil War sections of this site are also interesting. Tom Neel
Tom, Thanks for the information on the Maps. I know I am behind in my e-mail - read it, don't always take time to explore the great suggestions. Am always happy to read your postings!
