I now find them listed as PLORYHT on the 1850 Huron Co census. Would you please check one more time from Jan 1850(when he immigrated, his story) to 22 July 1850 when the census was taken. Forever grateful for your time and knowledge of the Huron Co records. Mary Jane Adams marjada@ktc.com >> Hi Mary Jane, A re-check of our Huron County, Ohio Marriages, 1815-1900, by Scheuer Publications, 1992, turned up the marriage of a Henry P. PLOWRIGHT. That was the good news. The bad news: he was married to a different person (not Mary Ann CROSS), and the marriage took place in 1853, aboutt three years after he was thought to have left the area. Details: Henry P. PLOWRIGHT m. Naomi LEVERTON 20 Jan 1853. I could find no reference to a PLORYHT, or a Mary Ann CROSS in our marriage book. Regards, Ken Shute, in MD (kwsroots@aol.com).

Possibly human error in transcription. Possible error in your information. Did they live close to another county? Maybe went to church in an adjoining county and was buried there? Have you tried the court house. That is a few years early for them, but there are a few early dates. I am sending this on to the Huron list and hopefully someone will be able to give you some hints.......Nancy >
