Does anyone know where Samuel d. Gray is buried? 1st wife was Mary Scott. He was married 2nd to a Husted? Can not find him in Clarksfield Methodist with father Abraham Gray. Maybe buried with Isaac B. Scott and Almira? Samuel was in KS 1863 but moved back to Huron Co. -----Original Message----- From: OHHURON-D-request@rootsweb.com <OHHURON-D-request@rootsweb.com> To: OHHURON-D@rootsweb.com <OHHURON-D@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, October 24, 2000 10:02 AM Subject: OHHURON-D Digest V00 #244

Hi all! This is my first post so if I don't get this right bear with me. I'm looking for John Watts, I know there are a few even in Huron County. I know he was born in England, worked on the Toledo Interurban, was married to Anna(need maiden name) and had 3 children - Elsie(my grandmother) Eva & Bruce. I do have a copy on the 1910 miracode that shows him to be 34 - which would make him born about 1876. I'm looking for more info on that part of the family. I do know Cecil Watts is part of the family, I just don't know where and that he's buried in New Haven Cemetary. Any help is much appreciated, if anyone out there is looking for Swimmer in Huron County, I have quite a bit of that. I also have some pictures and obit's that HCHS might like copies of for their web site and would like to know how to get them to them. Thanks Lisa Pawl
Fellow Listers, Can anyone tell me the name of a small cemetery, located on SR250, south of Fitchville, close to the old Owl Hoot? Going south, it is right past the tracks, on the left hand side. Has it ever been surveyed? Thanks, Dianne Proud member of NGS, OGS, Huron County Chapter of OGS
Debbie, Thank you for the offer of the copying of Louisa PARSONS death certificate. I was able to get the exact date of death from the Ohio Death Certificates that is on line. http://www.ohiohistory.org/dindex/search.cfm I do not need a copy of the certificate. I was just wanting exact dates. Thank you so much for your time, Debbie. I did check for your Jacob T. and Rachel AMES UNDERHILL in the rest of our Huron County, Ohio publications, but without success. However, I did find a Jacob and Rachel UNDERHILL in the LDS online IGI web site www.familysearch.org. In this reference, Rachel AMES, of Yorktown, Westchester, NY, was b. abt 1789. She m. Jacob UNDERHILL, of the same place, abt 1814. Jacob UNDERHILL was b. 1785. His parents were Samuel UNDERHILL and Martha QUINBY. Jacob and Rachel had a child named Henry, b. Yorktown, Westchester, NY. Jacob UNDERHILL's father was Samuel; his father was Jacob; his father was Abraham, etc. There's an extensive pedigree given on Jacob UNDERHILL. Do the same with "L" for the LINDSEY surname. If anything looks familiar, let me know, and I will do a look up for you. Do you have any idea what township they were in? Or, if they were close to another county, might have been buried in another county. Let me know if I can be of further help.......Nancy
Dear Norma, I noticed that you are searching the DAVIS surname. Would you happen to have a Gilbert V. Davis b. about 1890, place unknown; d. unknown; m. Margaret Carlan of Ironton, Ohio. One child that I am sure of is a daughter, Dorothy. May have also been a son, Jimmy but I am not sure of that one. They are last known to have resided in Columbus, Ohio in 1940.
