    3. ----- Original Message ----- From: Carmela Bergen To: nanpare@accnorwalk.com Sent: Thursday, February 22, 2001 10:47 AM Subject: HCC lookup cemetery book Hello Nancy, I am trying to find out where Fidel Saile (born 1828) and his wife Mary(maiden name unknown born 1833) are buried and when they died.. As far as I know, Mary was alive at the 1900 census. She was 66 at this time. Fidel Saile was alive in the 1910 census and was 81. Mary's name was not included in the 1910 census. She must have died sometime between 1900 and 1910. They owned their own home and lived at 289 South West Street in Bellevue, Huron County, Township of Lyme, Ohio. Fidel could have not lived much longer after age 81. They must have been buried in a cemetery in Huron County, because they had lived in that area since the 1870 census. They had 12 children all born in Ohio the first being born in 1853. Some died as infant or small children. Maybe there is a family plot? I would appreciate any help you can give me on this matter. Thanks for your time and your work in advance. Sincerely, Carmela Hi Carmela, Indeed, they are listed in the Huron County, Ohio Cemetery Inscriptions 1997 by the Huron County Chapter of the OGS. 3. Floyd, These burials are in the numbered crypts in the public mausoleum next to Section 29 of Woodlawn Cemetery. It is located at 220 Woodlawn Ave., in Norwalk. The line in the Cemetery book reads: 51 McKesson, Rebecca Balliet w/o Isaac McKesson 1840-1935 From Woodlawn Ave., turn into the cemetery, veer right at the first fork, the public mausoleum is on the left about midway between the fork and a sharp left curve (turn?) 3. Good Morning, Just wanted to tell you all that the Wakeman Library has just posted a newspaper called "Birmingham Clarion". I don't think the paper itself is old (perhaps published in the early 1980's), but the articles are all about the area and it's history. I have scanned the pictures that were with the articles also. You can find this and other links from the Wakeman, Ohio web site. The Clarksfield History is currently being typed, and as soon as I find some time, I'll be scanning and posting the pictures and articles from an old book called "Birmingham of Yesterday". The book is very similar to the "Reflections of Wakeman" book which is currently online from this page also. I'll do it as soon as possible. When Lowell is done typing the Clarksfield book, he will start the History of Camden by Weeks. We should have a very complete history of the area online then. http://www.wakeman-ohio.com Enjoy! 3. Hi all, I have placed some new obituaries on the obituaries page of the Huron County Biographies web site. Mary McGinnis sent several this weekend, and they are all posted. Also new to the Biographies page is a link to Adobe's Acrobat Reader and a .pdf file of page 208 that is missing from many copies of Baughman's History of Huron County, Ohio published with a revised index by the Huron County Chapter. You can print this out using the Acrobat reader. If you then reduce it to 78% on a copier, it will be just about the same size as the type and pages in the book. Good searching!
