Thank you very much De-Vonna. Is there by any chance a Benjamin Miller buried near the two mother-daughter Josephines in St. Pauls? Greetings -- I am seeking information on Joseph REAMER of Peru Twp. who died some time around 1851. Believe he had two brothers in the area -- Jacob and Anthony. Joseph was married to Mary Scheer on 19 Oct. 1836, and the Rev. Peter Hart officiated. He had a previous wife named Elizabeth and this couple is listed as selling land in the area in 1833. They were Catholic, and I am seeking the place of burial as well as any other information on them. When did they come to Huron County. Where were they naturalized? Regards, George REAMER
Would anyone out there know how much the book History of the Firelands by Williams sold for when it was reprinted in 1973? Also, what is the possibility of it being sold again in the near future? ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, July 18, 2003 11:35 PM Subject: HCC lookup cemetery book Ms. Paremore, I am interested in getting a photo made by Ms. Norma Miller of the tombstone of a relative of mine buried in Huron County. I do not have a copy of Huron County Cemetery Inscriptions, but from the Huron County Genealogy website, I've been able to ascertain that he is listed on page 71, and have been give information that he is buried in North Fairfield Village Cemetery, Fairfield Twp. His name is Daniel Letts. The website says you will do lookups of the name. I am also curious as to the other Letts listed on that page, whether they might be related. I realize tombstones don't always indicate such things, but there they are, all Letts on the same page, and it makes me curious. I am wondering if the Huron County Chapter/OGS offers photocopies of single pages of the Huron County Cemetery Inscription for a fee? Since my family, like many, spent time in Huron County before moving further west, but did not settle there permanently or leave descendents in the area, I hesitate to buy a whole book when my needs are limited to one or two pages from it. I suspect I am not the only person who would like to obtain such limited information. Just a thought... Please let me know any fees attendant for this request, which I will happily send on to the Huron Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society (PO Box 923, Norwalk, OH 4487-0923, right?).
