Well...Think about it and keep an eye open, Its not over for another year, and then many more years to undo the damage. Huron Co. was one of my fav. sites for record searches. The most wonderful people help in the Huron-L. I have Family going back to 1815 Firelands. This is just a sad commentary on our times, and the official who took it upon himself to steal these records should be tossed out of his lofty perch, along with the rest of these cowbirds..

    3. Has anyone put this issue out on the general genealogy forum or other forums? I saw another news article in the Morning Journal dated 13 Sept that sounds like it will get worse before it gets better; it says the state health department is going to pursue every collection not under their direct control. I thought that kind of thievery went out with Hitler.

    3. The newspaper "may" only accept opinions on their message boards for a short time. That time may be past. I don't know. That is why I included the mail address for the health department itself, since it is the health department that need to know how the public feels. 3. Hello All, First, let me introduce myself. My name is Barbara Fowler. I have been working on all lines of my family for about 18 years and enjoying every minute of it. My great grandparents were in Huron Co. for many years. They lived in a sleepy little town called Collins. Their names were Harvey Hamilton Dague and Emily Minnie Goldwood Dague. Almost all of their married life was spent there and they both passed away there. I have a lot of information on them. Harvey's parents also lived in Collins for awhile. They were Hamilton Chauncy Dague and Livaria Williamson Dague. Hamilton lived there until about l890 then moved to Paulding Co. His wife continued in Collins with her children. While they were in Collins they ran a brickyard. These bricks were supposedly used as a sidewalk to the school for one thing. They had a star on each end and looked fluorescent when they got wet. Does anyone know where I might find one of these bricks. I have been there many times (Collins) but of course I can't just go prowling in peoples yards. If you can help I would be ever so greatful.
