    1. [OHHURON-L] Moser- Mosier
    2. I hold a documented key, that may help someone who is researching a Nicholas MOSIER or MOSER line. My Great Grandfather (Nicholas MOSER) name was incorrectly spelled as MOSIER on the Huron Co. Ohio 1860 census. (MOSER to MOSIER) My Great Grandmother was "Elizabeth FURRIER" MOSER. This family came to the US in 1851 from Bern Switzerland, NOT GERMANY as listed on page 47of the 1860 Bellevue, Huron Co. Ohio Census . ( How ever they spoke German.) I can document this family back to the 1600s & the spelling of this name to be MOSER. Nicholas Jr. was the oldest child of Nicholas & Elizabeth MOSER. My grandfather had 3 brother, John, Fred, & Christian and 2 sisters Mary & Ann. Some of my Grandfather's brothers used the spelling MOSIER. (I know his brother John used the spelling MOSIER.) I would be pleased to share my information. My MOSER line is documented back to the 1600s in Switzerland. Elizabeth (MOSER) Kirkpatrick

    3. This peaked my interest, so I looked up the event while I was at the Ohio Historical Society today. William Francis died 12 March 1910 at 168 Whittlesy Avenue in Norwalk, Huron, OH from Exhaustion, with Senile Diabetes as a contributing factor at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 10 days. If you would like the copy of the DC, send me your snail mail address off the list. 3. Jackie, I couldn't find any information on the SPURLINGs that you were looking for. I did find SHUMERs in the 1937 city directory. This was the listing. Shumer Eugene D (Grace), trk drv Woodward Coal Co, 24 N Pleasant Shumer Donald E (Velma), chemist City Filtration Plant, 92 S Linwood Shumer Fred F (Elizth D), firmn Water Works, 13 Jackson As far as the birth certificate, the birth certificates would be together, and there should be a death certificate for the one who died. I'm not sure if it would be listed on the birth certificate. If you have a name and date you would like me to check, I would be happy to do it for you. Let me know if I can help. Deborah Orth Norwalk Public Library Norwalk, OH Debbie, Would you be able to tell if someone was a twin at birth but one died at birth, from a birth certificate? Where would I look that kind of thing up? The year would be 1934. A Jack SPURLING was a pretty good drummer & later played with Bunny Berrigan & the last time we knew of him he was playing with Lles Paul. Jack would have been born @ 1923/24 possibly in Hopewell, NJ. My husband took great pride in saying he "knew him when". Who knows! Every crumb could be just the one you need.

It goes east off from South West Street. I'll check our other records for anything else about your great grandparents and get back with you.
