I was wondering if any one can help me out here. I had a cousin (Jeannette Arnold) who lived in West Clarksfield, she died in 1935 as the results of a train accident in New london. She had a son named William Edward Budbill, who is listed in her will a 12 years of age, as a "son by former marriage", now living in the Children's Home in Norwalk, Ohio. I can find no trace of him any where, no idea where he was born. Any ideas where to go from here? I can't find him in any social security searches, maybe he is still living? Thanks, Penny
This is a follow on message. There is a William Edward Arnold, born 23 April 1923, Pickaway County, Ohio. He died on 21 May 1994. The only Budbill's I found in the 1930 Census all lived in Cleveland. David, When I was searching for the obituary for Lucy MAYNARD, I happened upon an obituary for Lucy FENTON. I had a hunch that this was your Lucy, so I tried looking at the death certificate. The death certificate lists her date of birth as 9 Jan 1853 in Plymouth, Huron County, OH. Date of death as 30 Jan 1939 at 195 Benedict Ave, Norwalk, OH. Father's name is Samuel Seydell and the mother's maiden name is Susan Pettit. The informant was a Mrs. Childs at 195 Benedict Ave, Norwalk. I couldn't read the first name. I then checked the address of the informant in the directories and found Burton & Edith CHILDS living at 195 Benedict Ave. I went back to the obituary and this is the information from the obituaries: January 30, 1939 Page 6 age 84 former resident of Greenwich died at her daughter's home on Benedict Ave died today (Jan 30) daughter is Mrs. B. Pat, It's always helpful if you can pin down a date of death. However, there are a few options for searching on-line for these records depending upon the time period. One is the Ohio Death Index from 1913-1937. Then please refer to instructions for ordering a copy of the death record. Since John Rundt lived in Cuyahoga County, another is the Cleveland Necrology File which is found at the Cleveland Public Library Site. Another option is to order microfilm for the county from the Family History Library at Salt Lake City and have them sent to the Family History Center nearest to your residence so that you can search for the earlier records (prior to 1908). There is coverage of Cuyahoga County death records the Family History Library. Notes: 1829 - 1900. Beachwood Cem. This may be in the area of Cuyahoga County known as Beechwood or Beachwood. See this link http://www.beachwoodohio.com/history.html. I believe the Warrensville East cemetery referenced here was Beachwood Cemetery. Perhaps someone on the Cuyahoga County list would be able to confirm this. Hi Again I forgot to tell you that in the early 1930s "Mayfield," started to become known as "Little Italy" ( that is what is was called in my day). (it's all black now) At first, after people like my Aunt & Uncles moved out of Mayfield, the very rich Italians moved in. (I remember well when my father made Beer in our cellar and traded it with his Italian friends for Red Wine.) The people that had been living in Mayfield, like my Aunts & Uncles moved and developed a city called Shaker Hgts. To day Shaker Hgts. is still "High-class," (but it has become black too) Doctors, Professors, Teachers, Bankers). Elizabeth
I would like to find a death certicate for John Rundt. In the 1900 census ir says he lived in Cuyahoga County Mayfield Twp. I would also like to find church records if any for him. Also the same for his children. Where can I find these. Pat Lane [email protected]

I am looking for information on Minshall Brooks and his wife Sarah who farmed 160 acres in New London Township, Huron County. They appear in the 1850 census. They had 10 or more children. Alzina Brooks was 8 in 1850 and had a twin sister named Polly. Alzina is my great grandmother. She married Robert McElroy in 1859 and no record of marriage exists in Indiana so I think she maybe married near home. Other children were Samuel, elizabeth, Catharine, John Aaron & Rhoda. I would absolutely love finding out I have relatives still in Huron County. My grandfather Robert enlisted in the Ohio 12th Battery in 1862 in Huron County. Hoping to hear from Brooks' relatives, Connie Hicks
