A chuch that I didn't recognise in your postings of Huron Churches is the Ripley Church, 41305 Edwards Road, Greenwich , Ohio, 44837 phone 419 752 2914. Another is the Delphi United Methodist Church, 628 U.S. Route 224, Willard, Ohio, 44890 phone 419-752-0681. Also I do not see anything about the Quakers (Friends) and yet they are mentioned as some of the early settlers. Perhaps contacting a local Friends society would tell how to find old records for Huron. Anyway anything you find or do will be appreciated by your fellow genealogy sleuths. Jessie Deith
Hi All: I am researching the Schischka/Schiska surname (mainly around New Washington and to the north; some in Monroeville), and the Paule family (mainly Norwalk and Monroeville). One of the benefits of researching such unusual surnames is that if you have any information on one, they must be a relative ;-) If anyone has across any data on these families - or happens to run across some - I would appreciate anything you find. Thanks in advance! Joe

I was wondering if you have access to any cemetery records. I was also wondering if there is a church associated with this cemetery because I don't see any listed on your page you posted. I live in Auburn, NY and I am planning on taking a research trip to your area this summer. Any suggestions? Thanking you in advance for any assistance/information you might provide. Hello guys, I am going to be taking over the church history page and due to the fact it is impossible to do an online address search not even knowing the name of the church you're looking for I am wondering if anyone can help. I am planning on expanding this page to include EVERY church in Huron County, irregardless of how recent it was founded. The current page is http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohwcl/HuronCountyChurches/ If you know of any church not listed on there, please feel free to tell me. I would like the name and, if possible, the address and/or any history of the church. Being a history major in college I find this an exciting challenge. --Andrew --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Jessie - Thanks for the info. Did it give George Dillon's (the father) wife's name? I'd really like to find out more about my grandmother's birthdate, and who Jane is. Found your great grandparents in the1880 census. It was taken about a month before your grandmother was born so she is not on it. But it does list Thomas E. and George B. as other children of George Dillon. They are on the third page of Chicago Juction-New Haven, Huron County, Ohio 1880 Census. The 1890 census was mostly destroyed by fire. The next one doesn't list her but she could be married at that time. Jessie Deith
Debbie, or anyone that can help! We were recently at the court house to research some birth certificates. In looking on their computer database, I was looking for my grandmother, Edith Pearl DILLON, b 8/25/1880 in Chicago Jct. Her parents were George Marshall DILLON and Jane S. OGIER DILLON. I did not find her, but did find a Jane DILLON, b 8/18/1880 to George and Jane. Edith is my grandmother, and my mother was sure of her birth date. I'm wondering who Jane is, and what happened to Edith? Any help? Karen Sinn __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance Tax Center - File online. Probably you've already tried this, but I typed in "children's home" + Norwalk , in the search box and got quite a few, from Korea to Connecticut, but there were some in Ohio. After looking at them a phone call might be a possibility. Heritage quest lists the 1930 census as something you can browse. To make it a little easier you would need to know which ward the childrens home is in - there are 4. From there you could prove he was there. That might give you a bit more clout if you then went back to the children's home. Also have you tried social security ? Jessie Deith
