I've found some information on the Christian Church in Ripley. I've photocopied the pages from the book and would mail them to the person who is doing the research on the churches if someone would give me the U.S. mail address. Jessie Deith

For Marcia. I was unable to locate any references to Ollie Jones (checking also Olive and Olivia) in any of our Huron County, Ohio publications, including the Huron County, Ohio Cemetery Inscription book. I did find two references on the internet to Ollie's death, which correspond with what you cite: 1. Ancestry.Com's Ohio Deaths, 1958-2000 Name: Ollie M. Jones Date of Death: 22 May 1972 Volume:20888 Certificate:037822 Autopsy: No Autopsy. Marital Status: Widowed Place of Death: Huron County Certifier: Physician Residence: Huron County Age: 81 years. 2. Social Security Death Index Name: Ollie Jones Born: 1Nov 1890 Died: May 1972 ZIP: 44851, New London, Huron County, OH Issued: OH If you haven't tried already, you might check out the following for obituary information: The weekly newspaper---The New London Record. Phone 419-929-3411. I found two addresses for this newspaper: a. 211 W. Main St., New London, OH 44851-1069 b. 43 East Main St., PO Box 146, New London, OH 44851. The other source is The New London Public Library, Genealogy/Local History Holdings, 67 S. Main St., New London, OH 44851. Phone: 419-929-3981. The web site for this source is: www.newlondonohio.com/nlpublib.html. The library is shown as holding vertical files including the surname JONES. Their microfilm holdings also include those for the New London Record, 21 Nov 1872 through the last quarter. (Hopefully, this would include the date of 22 May 1972.) The New London Record was indexed by Tom Neel, Vaughn Neel, and Terry Wilson an entered into the computer by the New London Public Library.Staff. I found Ancestry.com's obituary collection for the newspaper The Norwalk Reflector, but when I checked for a reference to Ollie Jones in their search engine, using her death date of 22 May 1972, I was unsuccessful. If you would like to try, go to Google and type in: "Obituary Collection: Norwalk Reflector." This will bring up a link called: "Ancestry.com-- Norwalk Reflector." Click on this link to use their search engine. Regards, Ken Shute ([email protected]).

Penny and Ken, The F.J. and P. Herman in the 1873 Atlas in Peru are my F.J. Herman and son, Peter. Also, according to his tombstone, my F.J. Herman died Dec. 30, 1881. He is buried at St. Alphonsus next to his second wife, Anastasia Heimbucher. This family came from Kulsheim Baden and arrived in New York Sep. 6, 1834. I believe that the rest of Ken's references do not belong to my family and therefore, may be yours. I have not forgotten about getting back to you, Penny. I apologize for the wait, unfortunately, things are crazy here. I will get back to you. Michelle

I started helping out in the cleaning out of over grown weeps in the Parrott/Parratt lot every year since 1997. Anyways what I saw was that someone has been running a lawn mower deck marks into the graves. Very deep long cuts. They were not there in Aug but there now and VERY FRESH marks to. I took pictures and will be going back soon to take more. HELP! What can I do about this. I've called the Twp. and one person wrote a little to them an nothing. Mrs. L. Reilly Northern OH Mrs. L.
