KNIGHT. Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE SPEARLING of Greenwich, and their daughter, Mrs. DRAKE and husband, of Chicago Junction, spent Sunday at the home of their cousin, Mrs. W.A. GARRETT. Tuesday afternoon ARTHUR WELLS was injured while hauling hay from the field. His team frightened in going down a hill and ran away, throwing him from the wagon. A doctor was called but found no bones broken. WILL MANN of Toledo, is spending his vacation with his grandfather, WM. LONG. Miss REBECCA CHEESMAN entertained at tea on Thursday of last week, Mrs. ARTIE METCALF of Toledo, Mrs. D.F. DAWSON and children of Chicago Jct., and Mrs. W.A. GARRETT. Mrs. FRANK LONG last week moved to the home of her mother, Mrs. EMILY STEWART, who has been in failing health for some time, and requires the care of her daughter. Mrs. HARRY DEWITT received word recently of the death of her uncle, JOE M. WILCOX. Mrs. E.C. HELLER, after a long illness, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.C. SKINNER, Monday morning. Funeral was held from the M.E. Church, Wednesday, interment being made in Maple Grove Cemetery, by the side of her husband. Mrs. ELIZA MYERS left for Zanesville Tuesday to oversee the shipping of their household goods to Norwalk. Mr. and Mrs. WM. BROWN of Plymouth have been spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. C.H. KNIGHT. Misses PHEBE SMITH and HAZEL MILLER spent Sunday in Plymouth with Mrs. W.F. KEELER, a sister of the latter. ALTON SNYDER and wife, and son-in-law, ROLLA VAN WAGNER and family, were guests for dinner Sunday at the J.M. Nicholas Welch, for many years a resident of Ripley Twp., died Tuesday morning at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Bret Truxell, in Grafton, where he had been making his home for several months past. His funeral was held last week Thursday morning. BEVIER has been on the sick list for a few days. Mrs. HENRY MILLER spent Tuesday in Chicago Junction with relatives. Mrs. HANNAH MOSES of Ann Arbor, is visiting her sister, Mrs. FRANK KISER. S.H. LYNN of Toledo, was the over Sunday guest of his sister, Mrs. J.H. MILLS. Mrs. W.S. LONG of Chicago Junction, spent Tuesday with her cousin, Mrs. M.J. BROWN. Mrs. Jennie McELWAIN of Cleveland, spent over Sunday with her brother, JOHN MILLS. ROSS LONG and family of Shelby, and Miss WHITTIER of Plymouth, spent Sunday with F.H. LONG and family. Mrs. C.J. GARRETT and daughter were called to Chicago Junction Tuesday to attend the funeral of Mrs. JACOB ADAMS. WM. LONG, who has been spending the past two weeks with his daughters in Toledo and Detroit, returned home Monday. Mrs. BERTHA EIRKSON [sic.], who has been spending some weeks with her father, C.H. KNIGHT, started for her home in Dakota Friday evening of last week. WALTER and FRANCES LONG, with their sisters, Mrs. FRANK CLINE of Newark, and DORTHY LONG of this place, spent Saturday in Shelby, at the home of ROSS LONG and family. Mrs. ANNA WOODRUFF of Steuben, spent Sunday with her brother, Mr. FREDERICK LAYER. G.W. SMITH and family spent Sunday in the same home. Mr. LAYER has not been feeling well for the past week. Mr. and Mrs. WILL MYERS desire to thank their many friends who gave to them last Friday evening a kitchen shower. They will, in a very short time go to housekeeping in the south part of Mrs. M.
