I have transcripts of about 50 letters that were written back to the family by Thomas L. McClelland who served in the Ohio National Guard as a volunteer in the Union Army during the Civil War. The letters give and insight on the conditions during this conflict and mentions several names of other members from Holmes County who was in the same unit.
