I just read another message concerning the location of early deeds. I know my ancestors where in what became Holmes Co. as early as 1814. I also know they owned land as it was passed on to their heirs. And I have found them on tax records - first for Coshocton Co., then Holmes. So far I have not been able to find their first deeds. Where should I look? (not in Holmes or Coshocton Co. indexes) Any ideas? Thanks.
