I'm on a fishing expedition here. I'm wondering if there are any individuals who are researching the ELY surname with a German, not English, origin. The eldest ELY I have is an Erns Frederick ELY who came from what is now Germany and eventually ended up in the Coshocton/Holmes/Tuscarawas county area of Ohio.
