I have been searching for months for William Dunn Barr b: 1/30/1840 in Holmes Co. Ohio. His death certificate tells me his father was John, born in Maryland. That's all I know about him. Wm Barr was my g grandfather. Wm Barr married Mary Crow of Estill Co., KY on 4/6/1866. They made their way to Marshall Co., IA where a daughter, Cora was born in 1868 and on to Fremont Co. IA where my grandfather, Harvey Colwell was born on Jul 15, 1876. I don't know if there were other children born. I have searched the 1840 and 1850 Holmes Co. census on microfilm twice and havn't found him. Could someone from Holmes Co. help me? I would really appreciate it.
