I am looking for anybody researching the DIETZ/DEETZ/DEATZ (and other spellings) surname in the Holmes, Coshocton and Tuscarawas county area of Ohio. I recently travelled to a number of cemeteries in the Sugarcreek, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio area and noticed many markers with the name DEETZ on them. I cannot yet place many of these DEETZes even though I am very sure that there is a connection somehow. I would be very interested in hearing from anybody researching the DIETZ/DEETZ surname in the Coshocton, Holmes, Tuscarawas and surrounding counties in Ohio. Maybe we can find a connection.
