How did Rooks get intigrated with Smith??? I am posting the following imfo looking for the correct Louisa Smith who was on a 1850 census as 11 yrs old in Ind . I also found a Louisa Smith born 18 feb 1839 in Holmes Co Oh but who are her parents etc.??? A Louisa Rooks b in 1839 in Clinton Co Oh and on a Grundy Co Mo 1850 census seems to have somehow been integrated into the Smith family when and how we are attempting to find out. She is who mar a Joel Boring 22 Feb 1860 in Clinton Co. Oh This Boring family is on a 1880 census with all their children by 1880. After that they show up integrated to this Smith family posted below. mar cert says Louisa ROOKS and Ida' a child 's birth is with Louisa Rooks - Joseph ( Joel) Boring and she b in 10 Jun 1874 , Clinton Co. Louisa Rooks ( alsias Smith) Boring died 14 Jan 1918 in Ohio City , Van Wert Co Oh and bur in Mt Olive cem in Mercer Co Oh. There were 2 differnet birth places listed for Louisa ( Smith) (Rooks) Boring. as Smith, as born in GREENE CO OH and the other place was listed as Gore, Kocking Co Oh. Louisa ROOKS was born in Clinton Co Ohio. in 1839 her parents were William Rooks b 1817 in Clinton Co Oh and Mahala Smithsonb 1814 in Clinton Co Oh. mar 18 Jun 1837 in Randolph Co , ( CORRECTION) INDIANA . Lived there and abt 1840 moved to Grundy Co Mo. Joel Boring died 20 Sep 1819 Ohio City Oh and bur same cem Louisa Bur. Mt Olive.( THIS LOUISA is ACTUALY< LOUISA ROOKS who mar Joseph ( Joel) BORING and not the Louisa Smith of the Smith family.). Children as have listed; several with dates that also don't reflect the mar date here but John could have been mar before UNK. or Jane and taken Smith names 1....David Oliver Smith b 10 Dec 1856 in Whitely Co Ind. *****2....LOUISA SMITH b 2 Oct 1839 3....John b abt 1841 in Ind. died in Galena, K ansas, as did his mother, Jane. 4....Uriah b abt 1843 in Ind, died in Joplin Mo where family resided. 5....Margaret b abt 1845 in Ind died a young woman. 6....William b abt 1847 in Ind lived near Gold Hill , Ore 7....George b abt 180 in Ind lived near Gold Hill, Ore where he died. 8....Anna b abt 1851 in Ind.mar a Christian Snyder had 1 son, George who died at 7yrs by a gunshot accidently done by himself. 9....Levi b abt 1851 - 1856 in Ind. died early and is bur in Auburn, Ind. The Louisa Rooks Boring was picked up and her genealogy with a maiden name of SMITH was integrated into this family beginning believed in Mercer, or Van Wert County Oh, ?? unknown for sure where or exactly when but after 1880., Ida Boring here is definitely the Louisa Rooks Boring dau. I have mar cert. to Joseph Boring, and the birth of Ida was extracted from birth records and in I G I. If anyone knows of a LOUISA SMITH B abt 1839 as she is on the census below also in 1850 but with Smith family of hers. in Whitelly Co Ind. 1850 Whitely Co Ind census. I just have the following imfo from this census. Also need a 1840 Whitely Co Ind Census as that is where they may have been living 1850 and 1840??? Also We need to check for a marriage of a LOUISA SMITH Here between abt 1855 on into 1860 +. Also if there is a Louisa Smith marriage in any of the other places they resided or also maybe a death in Whitely Ind or Oh. or Kansas.
