The parents were MathiasShipe b 11-5-1801 in Lancaster, PA d 11-6-1822 wife Catherine Deeds-Shipe d May 1822 Mt. Pleasant Tshp, Westmoreland Co., PA. Their children that later moved to Holmes Co. included Ephraim Frederice Shipe 3-31-1823, Benjamin Shipe b ABT 1825, Isabelle Shipe-Leas b 7-29-1830, Sara Shipe-Fisher b Sept, 1830, Catherine Shipe-Altman, John Henry Shipe b 3-18-1836, and Abner Shipe b 4-1-1840 Walnut Creek, Holmes Co., Ohio.
