Anastasias YOST/JOST was born in 1800 in Darmstadt, Hessen-Darmstadt in what is now Germany. As far as I can surmise he arrived in America sometime in the late 1820s as he married a Catherine ROW in Holmes Co., Ohio on 31 March 1833 and purchased land in neighboring Coshocton Co., Ohio in 1835 and 1837. He was also naturalized in Coshocton Co., in April 1838. He and his wife Catherine had 10 children and he died on 16 July 1883 in either Holmes or Coshocton County, Ohio.
