Did Holmes County have records of orphans in the early 1800's? If so, would someone there be so kind as to look for my g-grandfather, Jacob LONG, b. Millersburg 8 Jan 1822? I can find no LONGs in 1820-1830 census that would seem to be his parents, and I'm wondering if they died and left him an orphan. Jacob LONG m. in Coshocton Co., OH, on 8 Jan 1850, moved to Indiana in 1858, came back to Holmes Co. to marry a second time (to Sophia UHL) on 12 Aug 1874, and died in Fulton Co., IN, on 16 Feb 1895.
