    2. Joe, I think a good resource for this family's history is the beginning chapter of a book written by James Lehman for the sesquicentennial (1980) of the Longenecker Mennonite Church titled GROWTH AMIDST STRUGGLE. The first chapter deals with early Holmes Co. Mennonite settlers. On page 20 it states: "Another Jacob Kulp family came nearly the same time as the minister. He was a nephew of the minister and son of John and Barbara (Funk) Kulp of Bucks Co. Pa." It goes on and details the children of Jacob and Anna Barks Kulp. The book is well documented and refers back to History of John and Christian Fretz and Daniel Kolb Cassel, A Genealogical History of the Kolb, Kulp or Culp Family (Norristown, 1895).
